The Spitfire Story
The Spitfire was the plane no-one wanted - government, industry and even the Royal Air Force turned it down. Only the faith of its brilliant designer, R.J. Mitchell, kept the Spitfire project moving forward and into service - just in time to become the symbol of British pride and power as a "killer fighter" during the Battle of Britain.
